So a few years ago, my hubby and I (Mr. Plum Adorable) went on a trip to Kentucky to visit some of our family. We were introduced to a thing called Queso Blanco Dip at a Mexican Restaurant that my Sister and Brother in law loved, I can’t remember the name of the restaurant, only that my adorable niece called it Mexico as she called all Mexican food at that time. I kind of fell in LOVE with this dip and have not found it’s equal since! We thought we had found something like it at Boston’s since the menu description sounded the same but when it arrived it was simply melted Velveeta and salsa, (how DARE they call THAT Queso dip!!). So sadly, I had kind of forgotten about this dip that I LOVED as it has been YEARS since I had come across it, well at least like 4 years! Until I saw this posting (and mouth-watering picture) on Pinterest (Original recipe from Pennies on a Platter) !! And the caption said “BEST QUESO BLANCO DIP EVER!”
Well, it looked like my beloved long lost cheese dip and the reviews sure sounded promising! So I knew I just HAD to try it! And TRY IT I DID!
The ingredients were easy to find and it was VERY easy to make! And it totally lived up to my expectations! You can control the spice as much as you like too. For our family of 4, I halved the recipe that she provides. It is SO GOOD!!!
Head on over to Pennies on a Platter for the Recipe! You won’t be sorry!!!
Disclaimer- My picture is pretty lame due to the fact that we had already eaten most of the dip before I realized I never took a picture! And now I’m really hungry and I think I should go make some more dip! I wonder if we have any White American Cheese left….
